Terms of Service

Last updated: March 3, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using vett.us (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. "Vett.us," "we," "us," and "our" refer to Vett.us and its operators.

2. Description of Service

Vett.us provides business background reports ("Reports") that aggregate publicly available information from third-party sources including court records, government databases, consumer complaint databases, online reviews, news articles, and social media. Reports include a letter grade (A through F) representing our opinion of the business's public-record profile.

3. Reports Are Opinions, Not Statements of Fact

The grades, assessments, and analysis in our Reports represent Vett.us's opinion based on publicly available data at the time of generation. They are not statements of fact, endorsements, or recommendations. You should not rely solely on a Report when making business decisions. Always conduct your own independent due diligence.

4. Data Sources and Accuracy

Information in our Reports is gathered from third-party public sources. Vett.us does not independently verify the accuracy or completeness of source data. Reports may not reflect the complete history of any business. Data may be outdated, incomplete, or contain errors originating from the underlying sources. We make reasonable efforts to ensure data quality but cannot guarantee that any information is accurate, current, or complete.

5. Not a Consumer Report (FCRA)

Reports are NOT consumer reports as defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), 15 U.S.C. § 1681 et seq. You may NOT use Reports for any purpose governed by the FCRA, including but not limited to:

  • Employment screening or hiring decisions
  • Tenant screening or housing decisions
  • Credit, lending, or insurance underwriting decisions
  • Any other purpose requiring FCRA compliance

By purchasing a Report, you certify that you will not use it for any FCRA-regulated purpose.

6. No Professional Advice

Reports do not constitute legal, financial, accounting, or other professional advice. Nothing in a Report should be construed as a recommendation to hire, avoid, engage, or refrain from engaging with any business. You should consult appropriate professionals before making significant business decisions.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE AND ALL REPORTS ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, CURRENTNESS, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, VETT.US AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR ANY REPORT, REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR ANY REPORT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SPECIFIC REPORT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

9. Sole Remedy

If you believe a Report contains inaccurate information, your sole and exclusive remedy is to notify us so that we may investigate and, if warranted, correct the record. You may contact us at support@vett.us.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Vett.us and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to: (a) your use of the Service or any Report; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your use of any Report for a purpose prohibited by these Terms, including any FCRA-regulated purpose; or (d) your violation of any applicable law.

11. Binding Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Commercial Arbitration Rules. The arbitration shall take place in the state of Texas. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

12. Class Action Waiver

You agree that any arbitration or proceeding shall be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. You waive the right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Vett.us.

13. Payment and Refunds

Reports are sold on a per-report basis. Payment is processed securely through Stripe. By purchasing a Report, you authorize us to charge the stated amount. Because Reports are delivered digitally and contain data retrieved at the time of purchase, all sales are final. Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion on a case-by-case basis.

14. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, text, graphics, and software, is owned by Vett.us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Reports are licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may not resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Reports without our written permission.

15. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Contact
